Question: Do We Want A Dancing on the Grave of Capitalism! Stall?

We are still taking bookings for the last few stalls, but we are not taking any more bookings for meetings or adverts as we are now full

Last year we had 88 stalls (up from 77 the year before). We are aiming for about the same this year. Last year we made a £900 loss, but a number of people helped out with donations and benefits so in the end we broke even. Therefore, we can keep the cost of both stalls and meetings the same as last year.

Stalls are £45 for a table which is roughly 5ft x 2ft. You can book half a stall for £22.50.

If you are prepared to give an hours labour contribution during the day (giving out programmes, rattling collection buckets, etc) we will reduce the cost of a full stall to £40 (£20 for ½ stalls).

It is possible for your booking to be rejected (Trots/people in political parties, please note). Also, because of the shortage of space, you may not get as much space as you asked for.

Stall Hire Criteria

IMO (Tim) it's only worth doing if we have:

• sufficient Budget
• at least one volunteer to set up the Dancing on the Grave of Capitalism! stall, 09:00-10:00
• at least two volunteers to staff the stall for the duration, 10:00-19:00
• a Poster and plenty of Flyers

I've not been to the Anarchist Bookfair before, but it looks like a great event at which we're all likely to find many stimulating folks (like John Pilger & Paul Mason), talks, and discussions, le alone books!

Getting to the Anarchist Bookfair 2008

If you are coming by public transport the following buses stop near the college on Mile End Road: 25; 205; 339.

If you are coming by tube the two nearest stations are Mile End (central line / Hammersmith & City line or District line) or Stepney Green (Hammersmith & City line or District line). From Mile End tube come out of station and turn left. Walk along Mile End Road until you get to Harford Street and entrance to venue is opposite Harford Road. From Stepney Green tube come out of station and turn left. Walk along Mile End Road and venue entrance is on your left opposite Harford Road.
